Seefeld is a ski resort that is located about 20km West of Innisbruck and 10km away from the German border. Thanks to its many high quality hotels, Seefeld is one of the biggest and most esteemed tourist ski resorts in the Tyrolean region. The ski area isn’t actually difficult, which is very rare compared to other Austrian resorts. The Seefeld resort nevertheless deserves attention for it has many assets. Located in the Wildmoos natural reserve, 90% of the pistes can be artificially snowed up. Surprisingly enough, some great off-piste possibilities exist in Seefeld, the centre of the resort is entirely pedestrian and the Happy Ski area that groups the main German resorts multiplies the surface of the ski area by 10. But here’s the cherry on top of the cake: cross country skiers and non-skiers will be overjoyed to when grooving through the trails that hosted the Innisbruck Winter Olympics (1964 and 1976), or when making the best of the activities offered. In the Olympiaregion Seefeld, from the familial ski area to the renowned pistes, everything is made to make your ski trip unforgettable.
